Daniel Design Edit (“I”, “me”) is the design practice of Daniel Onitilo, based in Lagos, Nigeria. This policy explains what information I collect when you inquire about a project through this website, Instagram, WhatsApp, email, or a form on Facebook or Instagram, and how I use and protect it.
Information I collect
- Contact details: your name, phone or WhatsApp number, and email address.
- Business details: your business name, website or social media handle, and location.
- Project details: the service you’re interested in, your budget range, timeline, and anything you tell me about your brand.
- How you found me: for example, an Instagram post, Google search or ad.
I only collect what you choose to give me in a form or message. I never ask for payment card details through forms.
How I use it
- To reply to your inquiry and recommend a suitable package or scope.
- To send quotes, invoices, project updates, and files.
- To understand which of my posts and ads bring in inquiries, so I can improve them.
I don’t sell your information, and I won’t add you to a mailing list without your permission.
Cookies and the Meta Pixel on this website
This website uses the Meta Pixel, a small piece of code from Meta Platforms. It records visits to pages on this site and actions such as sending a project brief or tapping the WhatsApp or email buttons. Meta uses cookies to do this. I use the results to measure and improve my ads on Facebook and Instagram, and Meta may use them to show my ads to people likely to be interested.
The Pixel does not send me your name or contact details. You can control how Meta uses this data in your Facebook or Instagram ad preferences, and you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site works normally if you do.
Forms on this website
The project brief on this site is processed by my website host, Netlify, which stores your answers and emails them to me.
Forms on Facebook and Instagram
If you submit a form through a Facebook or Instagram ad, Meta Platforms collects that information and passes it to me. Meta’s own handling of your data is covered by Meta’s Privacy Policy.
Who I share it with
Your information is only shared with services I use to run my business, such as Meta (Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp), Google (email and storage), and Netlify (my website host), and only as needed to reply to you and deliver your project. I may also disclose information if the law requires it.
How long I keep it
Inquiries that don’t become projects are deleted within 12 months. For clients, I keep project and invoice records for as long as needed for accounting and legal purposes.
Your rights
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023, and similar laws where you live, you can ask me to:
- show you the information I hold about you,
- correct it, or
- delete it, or stop using it to contact you.
Email me at danieldesignedit@gmail.com and I’ll respond within 30 days.
Security
I keep your information in password-protected accounts that only I can access, and I take reasonable care to protect it from loss or misuse.
Changes
If this policy changes, I’ll update the date at the top of this page.
